Frequently Asked Questions

Institution FAQ

  • Through an online credit-card purchase. A student simply goes to this site to make a single one-time purchase. The link to that purchase site is often included in the course syllabus under “required materials”.

  • All our student licenses purchased by individuals run 12 months from the purchase date and students are free to use them in the following semester. When a student license does expire, students will not lose access to their account, their work, or their datasets - they simply revert to the free tier and will not be able to upload new datasets, do statistical tests, or engage with Bridge to R/Python.

  • Yes! You will receive an email asking you if you want to renew and offering you a special renewal rate that is deeply discounted.

  • With a single link. When your institution makes a purchase, we deliver a link that is preloaded with your licenses. You share the link with students and your students simply create their accounts with their school email address and they're in — no access codes, no license keys, no class rosters to upload.

  • No. With an institutional purchase, students never see a price, enter payment information, or handle a transaction of any kind. From their perspective, DCU is simply available.

  • Any unit with a budget: an individual course (instructor pays from course/lab fees, course budget, or a grant), a department, a college, a library, or the whole campus. We invoice one entity once, regardless of how many sections or instructors are covered.

  • Yes. Some institutions subsidize part of the license cost and have students pay the remainder. Contact us and we'll work to set up whatever arrangement fits your billing model.

  • Payment can be accepted by PO or online via credit card, or bank transfer through an electronic invoice.

  • All our licenses run 12 months from a student’s activation date (not the purchase date) and students are free to use them in the following semester. Purchased licenses never expire and you can use them with future students. When a student license does expire, they will not lose access to their account, their work, or their datasets - they simply revert to the free tier and will not be able to upload new datasets, do statistical tests, or engage with Bridge to R/Python

  • Live onboarding sessions for your teaching team covering how to use our tools, and assigning datasets and activities. Typically this can be done in a 1 hour session on Zoom, but if you need more we are here to help!

  • No problem. Student licenses can be added anytime at the same rate. Unused licenses never expire and can be used in a future semester?

Additionally, if your institution can issue a purchase order for the greatest number of licenses that you might need, we can invoice your institution after the add/drop date to bill you for the exact enrollment of your course. Please reach out if you would like to set this up.

  • Nope. We will gladly do  institutional pricing as long as you are purchasing two or more licenses.
